In 1934, the year after prohibition was repealed, the Balthaser Miller family from Milltown established a one room tavern on the current site, adjacent to an orchard. Picnics, ball games and outings were popular at the “Grove.” The booming 50’s gave way to three expansions, serving a rapidly growing East Brunswick as well as the surrounding communities. Throughout the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s our quality kitchen and casual atmosphere have earned us many regular patrons. Our mature tavern is a popular meeting place today, as it has been for years. The Grove has been serving the local area for 71 years with responsible beverage service, good food value, and continuing community involvement. Our reputation is built on these years of friendly service, quality, and value. Relax and Have a Good Time
